ClearCorrect Aligners in Grand Junction, CO

ClearCorrect aligners are a modern, discreet way to straighten teeth using a series of custom-made, clear trays that fit snugly over your teeth. Each aligner is designed to gently shift your teeth into better alignment over time, without the use of metal brackets or wires. The aligners are removable, allowing you to eat, brush, and floss as you normally would.

ClearCorrect can help address common orthodontic concerns, such as crowding, spacing, overbites, underbites, and crossbites, to help patients achieve a healthier, more confident smile comfortably.

How ClearCorrect Works at Bookcliff Family Dental

1. Consultation

Dr. Helgerson, during your initial consultation at Bookcliff Dental, will assess your oral health and discuss your specific goals for your smile.

2. Digital Impressions

Our team utilizes digital scanning technology to create a precise 3D image of your teeth instead of using traditional molds. This digital model serves as the foundation for the personalized ClearCorrect treatment plan.

3. Treatment Plan Design

Using the digital impressions, we developed a personalized treatment plan for your needs. This plan outlines the gradual movement of your teeth and provides a preview of the expected results. Treatment plans typically take several months to a year to complete.

4. Custom Aligners

From your the treatment plan, a series of custom-made, clear plastic aligners are crafted. Each aligner is designed to be worn for two weeks before progressing to the next one. Each set of aligners gradually shifts the teeth into the desired position.

5. Wearing the Aligners

You will wear your ClearCorrect aligners for at least 22 hours a day, removing them only for eating, drinking, and your oral hygiene routine. You can still drink water with the aligners in. Be careful when taking them out to eat. Don't wrap them in a napkin or you may throw them away by accident!

6. Completion

Once you've worn your entire series of aligners, your teeth should have reached their final, corrected positions. Dr. Helgerson will evaluate the results and may recommend additional measures, such as retainers, if needed to maintain the new alignment.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How does ClearCorrect compare to traditional braces?

ClearCorrect aligners offer a modern alternative to traditional braces, designed to straighten teeth discreetly and comfortably. Made from clear, removable plastic, aligners are nearly invisible, allowing patients to eat, brush, and floss with ease. Traditional braces use metal brackets and wires that stay fixed, which can be more noticeable and require dietary adjustments. While braces may be ideal for complex cases, ClearCorrect is a popular choice for mild to moderate alignment issues, fitting seamlessly into busy, professional lifestyles. Treatment plans are customized by dentists using advanced digital planning technology.

  • Who is an ideal candidate for ClearCorrect?

Ideal candidates for ClearCorrect are teens and adults seeking a discreet, comfortable way to straighten mild to moderate alignment issues. This treatment is well-suited for patients with crowded teeth, small gaps, or minor bite concerns who seek predictable results without the use of metal braces. ClearCorrect is most effective for individuals who are committed to wearing their aligners as directed and attending regular check-ups. If you value convenience, aesthetics, and a removable option that fits seamlessly into your lifestyle, ClearCorrect may be the ideal solution. A consultation helps determine personalized suitability and treatment expectations for each patient.

  • How do I care for my clear aligners?

ClearCorrect clear aligners are designed for convenience, but proper care will help keep your treatment on track. Consistent hygiene also helps reduce bacterial buildup and keeps your smile fresh throughout treatment time. Remove aligners before eating or drinking anything except water to prevent staining or warping. Clean them daily using a soft toothbrush and clear, non-abrasive soap; avoid toothpaste, as it can scratch the plastic. Rinse aligners with cool water, never hot. Store them in their protective case when not in use, and follow your wear schedule closely for the best, healthiest results.
