The Professional Side
Dr. Ryan grew up in Iowa and received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Iowa. He then went on to earn his DMD degree from Midwestern University, outside of Chicago. After graduation, he moved to the western slope and immediately fell in love with the people and beauty of the area.
Ryan is comfortable treating patients of all ages and loves that Bookcliff Family Dental can take care of the entire family. He prides himself on creating a positive environment for patients. It is important to him that patients know that their voice matters and that they feel cared for by a team that truly values them. Ryan loves taking time getting to know patients and educating them on any concerns or questions they may have.
Ryan is a member of the Colorado Dental Association, American Dental Association, and American Association of Pediatric Dentistry.
The Personal Side
When he is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Helgerson can be found with his wife, Molly, their son, Hayden, and their dog, Henry. They are often in the mountains hunting, fly fishing, camping, hiking, or skiing. He also enjoys playing soccer, golf, and ultimate frisbee. Ryan is also a passionate Green Bay Packer and Iowa Hawkeye fan.
